BIO

I am a psychologist and psychotherapist in training, and I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I provide psychological support, crisis intervention and psychotherapy for adults and couples. I specialize in psychological help to healthy people and people struggling with various mental disorders, including anxiety, mood, and personality disorders. In my work, I use classic cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and the third wave techniques, i.e., schema therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am particularly interested in helping women trying to have a baby, pregnant and postpartum women, couples, and families struggling with infertility, perinatal child loss, anxiety during pregnancy, trauma, and postpartum depression. I am a graduate of applied psychology at the Jagiellonian University and a doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the Jagiellonian University. I am constantly expanding my knowledge in the field of psychological help by participating in numerous trainings and courses, including the SWPS School of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy. I work as a psychologist at the Neonatology Department of the University Hospital in Krakow and in a private practice. I am a member of the Polish Society of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy and the Polish Society of Clinical Psychology. I work under the supervision and use the Code of Ethics of the Polish Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Association.

Services

Psychological consultation

The first step of every type of psychological help is a psychological consultation. At the beginning of each type of psychological help. It usually takes from the one up to three meetings. During the first consultation meetings, we collect vital information and determine the goals of the meetings and their formula. We discuss about and build the contract, which is the set of rules of the process.

Psychological support

Psychological support is a short-term, less intensive form of psychological help. It is suitable for people who are not currently struggling with serious mental disorders but feel the need to strengthen their resources in coping with various life situations. Psychological support allows the flexibility in terms of the frequency of meetings.

Crisis intervention

Crisis intervention is a short-term, intensive form of psychological help for people who are in crisis caused by, for example, illness, loss, violence, significant life change or suicide risk. Crisis intervention gives you the opportunity to work on improving how you cope with a crisis.

If we meet in the office, you should arrive on time without accompanying people (the exception is partner and family visits).

If we are going to meet online, it is worth finding a quiet place where no one will disturb you during the meeting. It is also a good idea to make sure you have a high-quality connection and/or a backup Internet source in advance.

All meetings last 50 minutes. Sometimes meetings may last 90 minutes after discussing the appropriateness of a longer meeting.
For some, one visit is enough, while others decide on a longer process – you decide on the number of meetings.
This is individual to each person, depending on the type of process.
Yes, a psychologist is obliged to maintain professional secrecy, just like a doctor or lawyer. All topics we discuss with each other remain confidential.

In my work I follow the Code of Ethics of the Polish Society of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (you can find it here) and I work under supervision of a person more experienced in work than me.

The visit can be canceled or postponed free of charge up to 24 hours before the meeting. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, the meeting will be deemed to have taken place.
